This is the unofficial species pack called Electroids. It adds a new species and new content for them!
The mod is not 100% perfect yet, feedback is always welcome to improve it.

• They live on a colony type called "Aurora-Habitat" near the surface stars or black holes (dependent on origin).
  
• Aurora-Habitats have different districts & modifiers dependent on the star type.
  
• Aurora-Habiats can only be built every 5 years in non-binary/trinary systems (planet balance).
  
• Pops cost energy, but no food or consumer goods. (jobs still do ensure mod compatibility)
  
• Can not survive on other planets, when playing with one of the Electroid origins. When using this species without an Electroid origin, they can live on normal worlds as well.

• Empire of the Sun
  
Default origin for Electroids to colonize stars.

• Supernova
  
Your homestar is dying, find a new home before catastrophic events hit your empire!

• Endless Horizon
  
Your colony is located near a black hole & you can colonize more! You can also ignite stars to get more black holes to colonize.

• Extradimensionals
  
Inspired by the crisis "Unbidden", you start in an own cluster outside of the galaxy.

• Stellar Devourers
  
Inspired by the Unbidden, this total-war empire exists only to harvest all energy in the galaxy. You can consume stars to gain more pops (every 120 days, reduced pop growth by -75% meanwhile) and use a new bombardment stance.

• Militaristic Symbiosis
  
Electroids use their own energy to boost their ships to get more shields.

• Industrial Electromagnetism
  
Produce more alloys with the cost of empire-wide increased energy costs.

• Living Weapons
  
Electroids are living weapons - get more army damage & health.

• Mobile Solarflare
  
Changes some alloy upkeep (ships) to more energy.

• Nuclear Anthem
  
Nuke the sun to get more districts on your first capital!

• Paralyzing Presence
  
Focuses ship damage on hull, but slightly weakens the other bonuses.

• Electroid
  
The basic trait of Electroids. Changes pop upkeep from food & consumer goods to energy. Their leaders can get very old as well.

• Natural Ionisation
  
Electroid-pops generate energy.

• Anti-Gravity-Polarity
  
Better job output on black holes (only needed for certain origins).

• Unstable Element
  
Output of normal workers decreased, but specialists produce more.

• Overheating
  
Jobs produce more, but cost more energy & higher pop upkeep.

• Overcharging
  
Leaders level up much faster, but die sooner & are more expensive.

• Optimal Conduit
  
Faster pop growth, but higher energy upkeep (Electroid pops).

• Centrifugal Horror
  
Lets you build a new kind of colossus. For each killed enemy pop you receive 0.25 pop of your own species on your capital (rounded). Generates also some unity.

The mod adds the 3 ship designs of the "Unbidden" crisis in the colors blue, orange & green. They are taken from Vanilla, so megastructures do not have any specific design right now. In the empire creation you can see them called as Unbidden (blue), Vehement (green) & Aberrant (orange). (Preview of them in the mod screenshot gallery.)


I added some basic portraits to the mod. I want to add more later because creating them is for me harder than creating the rest of the mod (& I didnt want to add some static PNG portraits).

• Due compatibility reasons, Electroid pops still use some food or consumer goods for job upkeep. Changing this would require to overwrite A LOT of files, which is terrible for mod compatibility. But overall it should not really matter, the main upkeep of your empire will be energy.
  
• This mod is compatible with all other mods and works in multiplayer too.
  
• The mod will get updates in the future & content expansions.
  
• Balancing is not done. This species is unique and requires more testing to be 100% balanced. Feedback for this is always welcome.
